My passion for classic house
In the early days the sound of club RoXy and iT in Amsterdam was innovating and renewing for what was called the Dutch club-scene.
The catchy loops and funky-guitar-influenced releases were renewing and refreshing at that time.
From my opinion club music nowadays is still based on the classics as we call them now.
Back in 1993 when I went to The Palace in Zaandam (the old Metropool) I saw DJ Erick E (Erick Eerdhuijzen) Spinning his first WORK release Pancake - Don't Turn Your Back on me (WORK 1) this record is one of my all time favorites. Lookin' back at that period of time especially the year 1993, the year the best club music ever was released. still have the excited feeling I had back then when I hear for instance Rene et Gaston - Vallee de Larmes or a more heavier track CLS - Can you feel it, which has the Detroit and NYC sound I love from Strictly Rhythm releases in general.
Another example from this genre is Hardrive - Deep inside EP produced by the Masters At Work ("Little" Louis Vega and Kenny Dope)

that was then and this is now.....
However the clubscene is different than in the early and half ninetees, still you can spinn a record from Outland, Work or Fresh Fruit, and the partypeople of my age (near thirty) do recognize the early sound of club and funky House music and "go wild" is the result!!

The classic style wil last forever!
My favorite DJ's / producers are Eric Nouhan, Olav Basoski, Erick-E, ZKI & Dobre, Masters At Work and of course "Little" Louis Vega.
I'm doin my thing collecting and spinning these old classic style records as a DJ on parties and special occassions.
So I hope you understand which kind of music I like and I'm sure many of you will acknowledge to like it too!
